Research
AVIS Lab’s work spans broadly in the domains of Robotics, UAV, Visual Reasoning, Plant Phenomics, Internet of Things, Advanced Computer Vision, and Machine Learning. Our research focuses on these key areas:
Physical Intelligence and Locomotion: Vision-based robot control for picking up tools and placement, and in developing capabilities for robots to decide how, when, and where to move in autonomous conditions.
Deep Learning: Real-time 3D object detection and recognition, pose estimation, and tracking for intelligent surveillance
Computer Vision and Machine Learning: Computer Vision and Machine Learning based applied researches on UAV, smart farming, livestock monitoring etc.
Plant Phenotyping: Evaluation of plant traits such as yield, growth, development, architecture, tolerance, resistance, physiology, ecology and the principal measurement of individual quantitative parameters that form the basis for complex trait assessment.
Industrial Sensors: Environmental and Industrial condition monitoring with smart sensors using automated feature extraction and analysis.
