Afnan is currently a Research Assistant at the AVIS Lab, University of Dhaka, and a Junior Research Assistant at ELITE Research Lab LLC, New York, USA. He has completed his B.Sc in Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering, University of Dhaka, working on Deep Learning for Brain MRI reconstruction under Queensland professional lab supervision.
He has published at IEEE — “IG-CNN: An Information-Geometric Model for Automated Knee Osteoporosis Diagnosis from X-ray Images,” presented at IEEE ICECTE 2026.
Previously, he worked at the SIS Lab, University of Dhaka on marine and coastal cleaning robotics, and at BCSIR on an IoT-based security surveillance system.
Research Interests: Medical Imaging AI, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, MRI Reconstruction, and Robotic Perception.
